Post operatively we have a good tight angle on her neck and can now see the border of the mandible which was lost preoperatively. One of the signs of aging is that you lose the distinct lower border of the mandible and the neck starts getting more obtuse. This is a middle aged gentleman who had no trauma to his nose but wished some improvement in the contour specifically and most importantly the dorsal hump. He had a dorsal hump consisting of 50/50 bone and cartilage. He had a deep crease at the junction of the nose with the forehead between the eyes and tip that was lower than the profile of the nose. He underwent an open rhinoplasty with contouring of the dorsum of the nose to make it straighter and get rid of the hump. The deep crease at the junction of the nose with the forehead was grafted with cartilage and suturing. Cartilage grafts were done to bring the tip of the nose out from the face and make it more symmetrical and contoured. He is shown post operatively two months out from his surgery. She underwent liposuction of the neck area. As you can see postoperatively now we have removed a good portion of the fat in her neck and redefined her jaw line.
